Start-Up Valuation
Starting or investing in a start-up business can be an exciting yet daunting prospect. When considering any investment, it is important to have exact knowledge of its worth, as the future of your business is at stake.
The key components that make up a comprehensive start-up business valuation include financial information such as cash flow, historical and projected revenues and expenses, intellectual property rights and the uniqueness of the products or services provided by the company. Additionally, intangible assets like brand recognition and customer loyalty should also be taken into consideration.
All these elements combine to create a picture of future profitability that can be used to calculate the fair market value for your business.
With the right guidance and advice, you’ll be armed with all the insight needed to arrive at a confident valuation figure for your start-up business.
We work with leading valuation platform providers like Equidam and Succession+ to provide robust valuations, which include:
- Reviewing your existing financial model
- Access to the world’s most complete start-up and private equity company database
- Independent valuation method report, including detailed business information, financial projections, valuations with parameters and supporting explanations

Financial Modelling
The tool for communicating value, raising capital, and forecasting results.
Financial modelling is one of the most helpful tools available to business professionals, enabling them to analyse potential investments in terms of their likely costs and benefits. It helps to identify patterns and influences on the performance of those investments, allowing professionals to make informed decisions while taking into account anticipated risks and rewards.
By creating a detailed model which reflects the approach taken to managing finances, it’s possible to take a more analytical view of how resources should be allocated for maximum returns.
We can sense-check your assumptions and build you financial models that withstand scrutiny. We work with you to understand your business, its drivers, and your goals to assess the complexity of your financial modelling before we finalise a fixed quote.
We use Modano to help provide answers to questions like:
- Your business’s breakeven point
- The impact of price changes on your margins and business value
- Whether you are financially ready to undertake an initiative like hiring, taking on a new lease, etc.
- Estimating business value
For any business that wants to remain ahead of its competitors, financial modelling is an essential tool for achieving success.
Pricing of our financial modelling service is driven by complexity.

- DCF valuation
- Forecast balance sheet
Premium

Capital Raising
Capital raising, or the process of seeking out investments in exchange for a stake in a company, can be an important part of growing a business.
Companies looking to raise capital need to develop a sound business plan outlining how they will manage their finances and use the funds. Every business is different, so it’s important that the strategy tailored to each one reflects their own unique needs and objectives.
While challenging, raised capital is often crucial for businesses looking to make that next leap forward.
You can lean on us to help you navigate the capital raising process.
We can work with you on compiling an investment memo, as well as completing all admin process to ensure you are in compliance with ASIC.
Our Capital Raising services include:
- Investment Memorandum
- Cap Table Modelling
- Share Issues and Actions
You can see more information on each service below, along with pricing guidelines.

A great investment memo may be the difference between raising your next tranche of cash to take your business to that next level or succumbing to drying capital.
We can help you pitch your business to potential investors to help you get the capital you need.
This includes a detailed report covering:
- Your strategic plan
- Your product, service, or technology
- Market and the industry analysis
- The management team
- Financial statements whether actual or forecast
We will also review and sense-check your memo to ensure information is both accurate and complete.
Pricing is from $9,000 depending on complexity.

We charge from $500 to $1,000 for each capital table depending on complexity.
Share Issues and Actions

Capital raising can involve a complex amount of back-office activity and admin. Let us manage the paperwork and ASIC.
This includes actions with ASIC, updating the members’ register, and any associated minutes and share certificates.
We charge from $300 per share transaction per investor.
Grants and Incentives
Business grants and incentives can be a great way to secure financial assistance that can help your business succeed.
While incentives and grants make it easier to navigate startup expenses and capitalise on opportunities for growth, it is important to remember that careful research of grant requirements must take place in order to ensure eligibility for the correct programs.
Doing this upfront work will prevent unnecessary headaches down the road!
At Kazzi & Associates, we can help you apply for grants and other incentives.
The two main grants and incentives we can help you with are:
- Export Market Development (EMD) Grant
