Price models

Price talks are often awkward, but they don’t have to be.

Business owners don’t want to feel gutted, while customers don’t want to feel ripped.

We understand the dilemma, so we’ve tried to be as transparent as possible about our prices.

Broadly, we have three pricing models:

• Hourly rate (time billing)
• Standalone service price (fee for service)
• Fixed pack price

All prices disclosed on the website are exclusive of GST and are denominated in AUD.

Hourly rates are used when it is difficult to determine what’s involved. We use this price model when we’re providing a bespoke or ad hoc service, such as advising on a restructure, or representing you in a business deal. Because we don’t know exactly what’s involved and how long it will take to deliver the service, it’s only fair that we charge based on the time spent.

Charge out rates are:

• Support staff from $60 per hour
• Accountants from $120 per hour
• Directors are $350 per hour

Things to remember with time billing:

• Time taken to service your requests attract costs
• Support queries in the form of calls, emails and meetings attract costs
• Senior staff cost more than less senior staff
• Disbursements are extra

Standalone service prices are the amounts we charge to provide a specific service to you. Check out our compliance and advisory service mix where we detail the standalone price of each of our services. Remember, price sometimes depends on us providing service for another piece of the puzzle. For example, we’ve tried to fix pricing for your business financials and tax return, but we can only do this if we do your books too.

• Can be dynamic, for example cost for bookkeeping or payroll scales with volume
• Disbursements are extra, unless otherwise stated

Fixed pack pricing is where we bundle in several standalone services together for a fixed price. Because we’ll have greater control over the quality of your books, we’re able to pass on some value by offering bundled services at a more competitive price point versus buying the same services unbundled. You also get certainty, so there are no surprises when it comes to our fees.
